Brief information

The Maritime Museum of Barcelona (Museu Marítim de Barcelona) is located in the building of the Royal Shipyards (Drassanes Reials), which were built in the 14th century. It is one of the finest examples of Gothic civil architecture in the city.

The museum's exhibitions explore the history of seafaring and Barcelona's role as a maritime power, from medieval galleys to modern shipbuilding. The main exhibit is a full-size reconstruction of the flagship "Galera Real," which took part in the Battle of Lepanto (1571).

🚲 The museum is easily accessible by bicycle or Wanna Bike e-bike, and a ride along the promenade makes the trip even more enjoyable.
